Help Us Bring SHIPS to the Stage – Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026
Taking a play to the Fringe is a huge challenge. From venue hire and rehearsal space to set design, marketing, and paying artists fairly, the costs quickly add up.
Every contribution large or small, goes directly toward venue hire, rehearsals, and supporting grassroots artists. With your support, we can bring this story to the stage with the grit and honesty it deserves.
With your help, we can bring SHIPS to life on stage and give this story the platform it deserves.

SHIPS… After a violent incident at sea ends his career, Connor, a mixed-race former merchant seaman, returns to his hometown with nothing but severance pay and a growing desire to disappear. Struggling with his identity and lost in trauma and self-destruction, he plans to vanish into bar stools and bad choices. Then he meets Alex, a fierce, funny barmaid and they share a forgotten connection that sparks into something fragile, unexpected and real. But as their bond deepens, so do the cracks. Whilst his guilt and fury simmer beneath the surface, her past threatens to resurface. Set in a gritty port town, SHIPS is a raw and intimate story of survival, shame, and second chances. With dark humour and brutal honesty, it asks: Can two damaged people risk connection long enough to heal—or will they be dragged under by the weight they carry?
